Pharmacists -
Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses relevant to the professional practice of pharmacy, such as courses in the pharmacology of new drugs, are acceptable; courses not related to pharmacy practice (e.g., surgery) are not acceptable. The CME certificate issued for completing an AMA program would serve as proof for recordkeeping purposes. We suggest that you also keep a copy of the program outline and objectives as documentation that the course was relevant pharmacy practice.
