Course Description

Vassar Brothers Medical Center & Premier Medical Group endeavor to bring you the Annual Urology Teaching Day. This activity is designed for physicians and allied health professionals in family practice, internal medicine, oncology, and urology, who care for patients with bladder cancer. Each of the presenters will allow ample time for questions and comments, inviting participants to reflect on the information which has been shared. This advanced professional conference provides "Cutting Edge" information, reviewing the latest advances in clinical strategies for diagnosis, staging, treatment, and follow-up of bladder cancer. The course will explore new insights into treatment approaches in patients with non-muscle and muscle-invasive bladder cancer and the benefit of local and systemic treatments in patients with bladder cancer.

These include screenings and treatment for liver disease, celiac disease, heartburn, colitis, ulcers, hernia, lactose intolerance testing, Crohn’s disease, and colon cancer. In addition, both the Poughkeepsie and New Windsor offices provide state of the art endoscopy centers for the convenience of our patients. Premier has its own pathology lab and radiology department concentrating exclusively on urology and gastroenterology.

Our six internal medicine physicians offer years of experience in the fields of general internal medicine, pulmonology, endocrinology, nephrology and geriatrics. Our team is large enough to offer patients a wide-range of services yet small enough to provide highly personalized care. The expertise of our physicians is complemented by the availability and experience of our allied professionals including physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
