Following the completion of this conference, attendees should be able to:
- To review treatment of hyperlipidemia in regard to use of novel agents
- Describe new treatment protocols for traumatic cardiac emergencies.
- Identify indications for TAVR and the technical requirements / contraindications of the procedure
- Examine reasons for outpatient treatment failures and the use of devices such as Cardio MEMSTM
- Describe case examples to highlight the role of echo, nuclear imaging and CT in the treatment of adults with cardiac disease
- Review use of coronary angiography in the treatment of acute coronary syndromes and chronic stable angina.
- To understand the growing use of MRI in patients with implantable device
- To understand the role of anti-tachycardia pacing in patients with sustained ventricular tachycardia.
- To review new directions and the use of lead lists pacemaker therapy.
- Discuss surgical indications for various types of cardiac and non-cardiac thoracic diseases as well as the natural history of these diseases
