Learning Objectives

1. Consider evolving treatments and malignancies.

2. Identify the role of genomics and personalized medicine in the treatment of people with malignancy

3. Consider environmental issues with the malignancy industry in our area.

4. Discuss the challenge of malignant mesothelioma treatment, a byproduct of asbestos exposure.

5. Identify risk factors, both benign and malignant diseases due to asbestos exposure.

6. One of the growing areas of malignancies are due to skin cancers and this will be addressed.

7. Identify the new less morbid treatments in breast cancer are being defined.

8. Define targeted therapy and its clinical applications in gynecologic cancer.

9. Consider outcomes from Transanal total mesorectal excision (taTME)  compared with conventional          laparoscopic total mesorectal excision (laTME).
